The PMI Great Lakes Academic Outreach program is focused on the advancement of the practice and profession of project management in local educational institutions (middle & high school, college, university). Overall objectives include driving demand for Undergraduate and Graduate programs in Project Management, promoting awareness of PMI academic standards, and reinforcing the value of project management to students entering into the corporate workforce as well as to the organizations that will employ them.

  • Integration of project management into school curricula

  • Professional project management networking opportunities

  • Support for individual research efforts within the academic community on project management
