Monthly Meeting Topic: Executive Panel

Join us for a relaxed discussion at the C level regarding how they view project management as well as the skills and talents that they value in this area.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout the session, and gain valuable insight from a C-level perspective.

Jennifer Charters

CIO, Corporate Technology
Ally Financial

Jennifer Charters is an IT executive with over 20 years of experience.  She is currently the Chief Information Officer (CIO), Corporate Technology at Ally Financial.  In this role, Jennifer is responsible for technology across Ally’s enterprise functions.  She is also responsible for various IT services including the Program Management Office, Enterprise Quality Assurance, and Ally’s Global Delivery Center.  Jennifer has been at Ally since 2006.

Prior to Ally, she spent 12 years in consulting at Accenture, where she led strategic projects in support of Fortune 500 companies in the telecommunications and financial services industries.  While there she focused on large scale systems development, process improvement, and change enablement solutions. 

Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Michigan State University and a Master of Business Administration from The Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan.  She is an avid triathlete who has completed two Ironman races.  She also enjoys spending time with her husband, Jim, and their two children, Nathan and Cady.

David Poynter

Senior Director, Infrastructure Services
Ascension Information Systems (AIS)

Dave has been with Ascension since 2010. Most recently, Dave served as the Infrastructure Delivery Director for the St. John Providence Health System and Ascension Crittenton Medical Center. While in this position, Dave has successfully managed the day to day operations of the infrastructure personnel, as well as re-built and maintained good customer relationships.

Dave served in the US Army for 9 years. The first 4 years were spent as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne, and the last 5 as a Computer Hardware Application Manager. He is also a graduate of the Ascension Formation Program, as well as the St. John Providence Hero’s Journey Program.
