Manager, Website

Edward Clancy, III

GREETINGS! I'm Ed Clancy a seasoned professional with 39 years in the Automotive industry. Started my carreer as a die designer, then seat and bumper designs, design of seat belt and airbag systems, confirming the robustness of the designs by using Finite Element Analysis (FEA). Became leader of gloabl R&D team where the company was rated #1 in intellectual properties for the Automotive industy. Personally, part of over 40 Patents, Defensive Publications and Trade Secrets. I then moved to an Original Equipment Manufacture (OEM) putting my occupant protection experience to use in full vehicle crash worthiness.

My program management experience is over 20 years by leading the teams and making sure the R&D was on time and under budget. This was accomplished by introducing and feasibiliity stage gate to the quality gate system. This was to prevent endless spending without results. The team successfully transferred 36 of 65 projects to core engineering and stopping research on projects that were of no benefit. The team was awarded 70 US Patents, 38 World Patents, 34 European Patents, 1 Japanese Patent, 7 Trade Secrets and created 19 Technical Papers. Also, reduced a back-log of intellectual property submissions by setting a plan to reduce over 200 submissions while review new submissions and following it on a monthly basis until all were reviewed by the senior executives within 18 months. Lastly, put in place a PMO for program initation, monitoring execution and program closure.

In my spare time I enjoy golf, music (listening and playing cello), and participating in car shows.

Finance Manager

Brian Roy

I received my PMP certification, May 2007, and have been an active member of the PMIGLC since then.  Recently, I accepted an invitation, from our VP of Finance, Chris Sharp, to join the Finance Committee, and become a more active volunteer for our Chapter Events.

With all of the gray hair to prove it - I have been in Project/Program/Portfolio Manager for 24 years.  I have been fortunate enough to work in a number of different organizations (both as a contractor and staff) in several different markets (Health Care, Automotive, Public Utilities, Content Management, and HR Systems).  I have been with Ascension Technologies for the past 8 years – and in my current role, I’m working primarily on Strategic Infrastructure Programs and Projects.

I have my BS in Business Administration Management Information Systems) from Oakland University; and my MBA (Marketing Customer Management / Management Information Systems) from the University of Georgia.
