Event Schedule Development Seminar

Learn and practice how to better develop project schedules (timelines) for events using backward-chaining Microsoft Project Template.

This will be a live webinar format seminar.

Seminar Objectives:

  • Understand the critical first step of WBS development (Activity Identification) prior to estimating and scheduling. 
  • Brief review tools and methods for Activity Sequencing 
  • Brief review tools and methods for Activity Estimating 
  • Detail review tools and methods for Schedule Development.  Class example of using a backward-chaining project schedule to develop an event project schedule. 
  • Brief review tools and methods for Schedule Management

Participant Requirements:

  • This seminar pre-requires a beginning understanding by all participants of the Time Management Knowledge Area. 
  • The seminar also pre-requires an intermediate understanding of a project schedule development software like MS Project.
  • Participants will need to use Microsoft Project or another schedule development software for an in-class and hands-on exercise.
  • The seminar is a live webinar format requiring use of GoToMeeting for audio and conference bridge.

9:00am-9:15am: Introductions
9:15am-10:00am: Project Schedule Development
10:00am-10:15am: Break
10:15am-11:15am –1-hour Hands-on class example using event scheduling template.  You will need Microsoft Project on your PC to complete the exercise.
11:15am-11:30am: Break
11:30am-11:45am: Project Schedule Management
11:45am–12:00pm: Q&A

This seminar is limited to the first 20 participants to register due to the live webinar, call-in, and hands-on class exercise format.
