Member Promotion
team hosts spooky good time during the final happy hour of 2020
by Carla
Patrick-Fagan
PMIGL’s
Member Promotion Team hosted the chapter’s 3rd and final
happy hour of 2020 on October 14. More than 50% of those who registered
attended. Attendees enjoyed their favorite drinks as they discussed
their favorite horror movie in advance of Halloween. Discussions
also centered on first jobs (Mike Freeman and Surya Prakash had
two of the most interesting), favorite time management hacks (such
as Trello and gettingthingsdone.com)
and favorite phone apps (such as Blinkist and Whatsapp).
Sandy
Menzel won the first round of Crowdpurr trivia for “horror
movies.” Mike Freeman won the second round for “Name
That Drink.” Both were awarded a $25 Amazon egift card.
Valerio Crovasce was the grand prize winner of “Test your
PM Knowledge,” earning a $50 Amazon egift card!
60%
of attendees rated the event excellent with another 50% rating
it very good. Feedback included: "It was my first virtual happy
hour - it was very fun - there were not as many people as I expected,
but that may have been good for my first time! Looking forward
to more!" and “More ideas from member retention and attendees
on future programs could improve future happy hours.”
Thanks
to all who attended, especially Member Retention (Murthy Guduguntla
and Sheila Dugeon) for their support. Thank you to Erica Nunes,
Manager Member Promotion for helping to develop trivia questions.
Thank you to our platinum and gold-level sponsors who help us
put on great events, such as this one. Finally, best wishes to
Stacey Frakovici and Mike Freeman who are preparing to sit for
the PMP in the near future.
