March Quarterly Meeting & Career Day (in-person)
Subject: The Future-Ready Project Manager: Implementing AI, Expanding Careers, and Leading What’s Next
This session reframes AI as a career accelerator. Attendees will explore emerging project management career pathways enabled by AI, including transformation
leadership, AI-augmented project delivery, product and platform management, and AI implementation roles. The discussion will focus on how project managers can apply their existing skills while building AI literacy and confidence to remain competitive and relevant.
As artificial intelligence, automation, and electrification reshape industries across Michigan and beyond, many experienced project managers are navigating career disruption, uncertainty, and rapid change—particularly in automotive and manufacturing sectors. While AI and robotics are transforming how work is delivered, they are not eliminating the need for project leadership; they are redefining it.
Aligned with PMIGL’s 2026 theme, Implementing AI in a Project Management World, this presentation connects PMI’s evolving standards and tools—PMBOK® 8th Edition, PMI-CPMAI™, and PMI Infinity™—to practical, achievable next steps. Participants will leave with renewed optimism, a clear understanding of future-ready PM roles, and an actionable roadmap to reposition themselves for the next chapter of their careers.
