Speaker: Dr. Joel Carboni
Dr. Joel Carboni is the world’s foremost authority on sustainable project management and the visionary founder of GPM® (Green Project Management). His groundbreaking tools and methodologies, include the PRiSM™ project delivery method and the P5 Standard for Sustainability in Project Management, are globally recognized benchmarks for green practices. These innovations have been adopted in over 145 countries by corporations, governments, and organizations striving to integrate sustainability into their operations.
He's graduate of Ball State University holding a Ph.D. in Sustainable Development and Environment. With over 30 years of experience in environmental science and sustainability, and 25 years in project management, his career spans diverse sectors including government, finance, manufacturing, consulting, and academia. A best-selling author and writer, he has published over 125 articles on sustainability and project management, with his work featured in leading publications like Forbes where is is a member of the Forbes business council. His educational programs on sustainable project management are delivered globally through partnerships with universities, business consortiums, and professional training organizations.
Dr. Carboni’s global influence extends to his role as a visiting professor at Skema Business School in Paris and As GPM's representative to the United Nations Global Compact, he helped shape the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and signed key initiatives like the Business for Peace and Anti-Corruption Call to Action and was a party to the Paris accord.
Recognized for his contributions to sustainability, Dr. Carboni was knighted by the Order of St. George. He is also a standards writer for the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and contributes to the Global Reporting Initiative’s Pollution Standard. Having worked in 55 countries, he frequently speaks at global conferences, sharing practical insights and inspiring action.
Dr. Carboni's work exemplifies his unwavering commitment to advancing sustainability, fostering innovation, equity, and resilience worldwide.
