Subject: Using AI to Support the ‘Quintuple Aim’ of Healthcare
This 45-mintue discussion will focus on current initiatives to use AI in meaningful ways to achieve healthcare goals. Specific focus will be on the ‘Quintuple Aim’ of healthcare, which is widely acknowledged as a high-quality approach for the future of healthcare in the US.
Speaker: Dr. Saroj Misra
Dr. Misra currently serves as the Associate Dean of Clinical Affairs for the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (KCOM) at A.T. Still University. In this role, he oversees all students in years 3 & 4 located at the 25+ regional sites for his college. Prior to assuming the role of Associate Dean, Dr. Misra served as Program Director of the Family Medicine residency at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Michigan for 16 years and continues to serve as Core Faculty and Chief of the Department of Family Medicine. Nationally, he serves on the Board of Governors for the ACOFP and serves as the Chair of the Postdoctoral Training Review Committee for the American Osteopathic Association. His leadership roles align closely with his passion for osteopathic medical education in both the undergraduate and graduate arenas. He wishes to get educators to ‘think different’ when it comes to teaching and learning.
He has received numerous awards during his career, including being named the 2018 ACOFP Family Physician of the Year and the 2023 MAOFP Family Physician of the Year. He has also received the 2019 ACOFP Master Preceptor Award as well as being named to the AOA Osteopathic Mentor Hall of Fame - twice.
