From the president’s desk…

Greetings fellow PMIGL Members!!

raj.jpgFeels just like yesterday when I started to pen the first "From the President's desk" article for our monthly newsletter, after taking over as President of the chapter. Here I am, writing it one last time, as my current term comes to an end this month. It has been a wonderful opportunity and experience, which I will cherish forever.

Though we could not meet in person, be it at our monthly dinner meetings, at our coveted Symposium or at the PD Day event, it was still nice to meet a lot of you virtually and at the golf event. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, for your constant support to (y)our chapter.

A BIG thank you to our sponsors for enthusiastically supporting all the chapter events.

Our annual PD Day event on November 19 was a GRAND success. We had record attendance and all thesessions were very interesting and informative. Kudos to the PD team for putting together an impressive show.

The Board of Directors had our annual Transition meeting on December 3-5, where the Executive Committee worked on the chapter budgets and business plan finalization for 2022. It was a very productive meeting where a lot was accomplished.

As always, I request you, the ambassadors of PMI Great Lakes, to please renew your membership if you have not already done so and also encourage your friends and acquaintances to become members if they are not members already. Please also consider volunteering at your convenience... we are always in need of volunteers.

In closing, I would like to thank my fellow Board of Directors for their support and encouragement that allowed me to fulfill my duties as President of this esteemed chapter with ease. I would also like to extend my congratulations and best wishes to the incoming EC, headed by Jerry Gusmano, who is coming to you with exciting ideas, programs and opportunities.

Good luck.... stay warm, stay safe and happy holidays!!
