From the president’s desk…
Greetings fellow PMIGL members!!
Hope you are all enjoying the fabulous Michigan fall season. As a chapter, we are having a wonderful time, reminiscing all the success we have had so far this year, amidst the pandemic chaos.
We had our Quarterly Happy Hour at Craft Brew City on Nov. 10th. It was very heartening to see our members enjoying a nice drink with excellent food and enthusiastically moving around, catching up with folks they were seeing after a very long time. Thanks to the Membership team for putting together this wonderful networking opportunity.
You may have already seen a lot of information floating around regarding the annual PD Day event on Nov. 19th. The theme is "Change Management, Risk and Tools & Technology. We have an army of excellent speakers lined up to share their wisdom. Please register if you have not already done so. The event is going to be virtual and offers eight PDUs.
A BIG THANK YOU to all who participated in the election process for the three VP positions that were up for grabs. Congratulations to the following elected/re-elected Executive Committee members:
- Jennifer Billings - VP, Administration
- Brian Roy - VP, Finance
- Surya Prakash - VP, Membership
On behalf of the other members of the EC, I would like to extend a warm welcome to these VPs.
Lastly, I invite you all to our Annual Business Meeting, where we present our chapter's report card for the year. This is going to be yet another virtual event on Dec. 13th at 6 pm. Please look out for additional details and registration information.
Dear Ambassadors of PMI Great Lakes, please renew your membership if you have not already done so and also encourage your friends and acquaintances to become members, if they are not.
Please also consider volunteering at your convenience...we are always in need of volunteers.
Can't wait to see you all at the PD Day event on the 19th.
